I need beagle dog facts?

1) How big do they get?

2) How much can they weigh UP to?

3) What kind of house do they need? (i.e big yard or small or small or big house)

4) Are they good with children?

5) Are they smart?

6) Do they learn fast?

7) Are they good with cats?

8) Do they most likely OBEY you when you tell them to do something?

9) Health problems?

10) How to have a healthy beagle?

11) Baths, exercise, walks?

12) Any other facts/ websites would be appreciated

Sorry! I just really need info!
I kind of want the info based on a beagle DOG and not puppy. If I end up adopting a beagle, it will be around 1-2yrs old but 1yr old dogs still pretty much need training.
I have a small house (they call it a "cottage" house) and a medium sized yard… We would patch in the holes and the unlocking gate also well DEFINETLY. I would take he/she for a walk everyday… I don’t have a good walking path but across the street, is a small neighborhood that has a tiny loop… I would walk he/she around that.

Leash training an abused and neglected dog?

We adopted a golden retriever about a year ago who was abused and neglected. He has warmed up to my wife a little bit, but he avoids us most of the time. For instance if we stand up from the couch, he makes sure to walk the other way in order to avoid us coming too close. I had read one of Cesar Milans books, and I agree that walks and exercise are essential in building a strong bond between owner and pet. However, whenever I put a leash on him, which is usually in his crate, he runs out of his crate and frantically bites at the leash running as fast as he can in order to escape this foreign object on his back/neck. Any ideas on what we should do in order to leash train him?
I do agree, that once the leash is attached he is probably running from us, but even if I just let the leash hang from his neck, it really freaks him out. Also, we tried a harness and that is what he freaked out with, we haven’t used a regular harness, because we figured if he didn’t like the harness he wouldn’t like a regular collar.

dog breeds?

Im am researching into different dog breeds to buy. Chow Chow, dalmation, doberman, boxer. I have already looked into these breeds, but I just want as much info as I can get before buying one. So if anyone had any personal experiences that would be great. I know most of these breeds needs lots of exercise, socialization, and training, and I have the monet/space/time. Im willing to do whatever it takes. Thanks
